Thank you Irv Yalom, MD, for your great videos - plus NEST poem

GOOD GOD, DID YOU HEAR DAT THUNDER?

Asked some folks if they wanted to hear Irv Yalom, MD, interviewed.

Margie Lawler said YES. Below is my response.

Margie, am also sending this to my dear friend Russell Eisenman

Like Irv Yalom, Russell continues to teach - both are excellent teachers

WHEN WE GRADUATED from Hahnemann University, our co chairmen Fabian Ulitsky, M.Ed, and Mike Vaccaro, MD, invited Yalom to come speak.

He did. BUT he refused to answer any questions after his talk and he flew home to Los Angeles.

And of course Yalom was handsomely paid.

Ah, so many memories, including Sister Vickie, who was in charge of messed up adolescents. I visited her once and she's somewhere on my blog.

Learn and enjoy!!!

Ruth

...

Headed to the Compost Pile before the Rains came down and saw a sad sad sight

EMPTY NEST

On the cold wet concrete below Scott's dozen robins' nests

Was a circular affair

Round and round it went

With twigs

Shaped just so

Yet nowhere there

In this perfect home

For brave beautiful genteel robins

Not a one was there.

WEEP WEEP WEEP

For the greed, the lust, the dishonesty

Of a Bezos-like creature

Who either knows what he is doing

Or doesn't care.

Let him soar above in his rocket

With his brother and the highest bidder

And show the world

a fop

A fool

A Lucifer

Tail burning in agony

With red hot fire.
