PART TWO of my poem for Mama
Double space refuses to come out.
What's that thunderous noise
on the roof? Santa Claus?
Rudolph? Aunt Ethel?
DAD !
Dont be shy.
Lookin' good, Dad, after that cancer scare
where we thought we'd lose you. And did.
Go ahead and kiss your wife. She won't mind.
Who's that barking outside? Ellen, go bring him in.
He keeps running away, fathering baby Trissies.
Kisses ! 92 kisses for our
beloved mother
Bernice Begis Greenwold.
What a name! I promise to name
my next child Bernice in your honor.
