Poetry for the Gardens of Edith Wharton

On the PBS News hour, the glorious gardens of Edith Wharton were featured.

Blacks and Hispanics were invited to contribute poetry.

Why, I can do that.

House of Mirth and Ethan Frome are two of Wharton's many books. The latter is a film. I have never read a Wharton book.

The aroma is intoxicating, the sound of the plashing of the fountains
akin to the beating of my lovestruck heart
and bumblebees, wasps with stingers, make sure
the drum roll of life continues, continues, continues.
