Our house at 2929 Glenmore Road in Shaker Heights.

The side door. Not a soul was home the day of our return.

Aunt Ethel lived in the Essex House on Van Aken Blvd. The lobby once boasted a pair of birds in a fancy cage.

As a kid, I loved the purity of line and color in a church like this.

Even the curve of the sidewalk held a singular beauty.
Never did I realize how beautiful this area was until I left...and returned.

The old neighborhood.

Was this Mary Truby's house?
We both take trips into our past.
ReplyDeleteYour's looks pretty interesting, too.
