Her piece "The Aphids are Coming! The Aphids are Coming!" was fascinating.
Linda read a poem about a new type of Christianity that is more liberal than the one she prefers. Mild-looking Linda is a hell and brimstone kind of girl.
Allan Heller told an interesting story that his neurologist Stephen Lewis shared with him.
James Parkinson (1755 – 1824) is most famous for his 1817 work, An Essay on the Shaking Palsy[2] in which he was the first to describe "paralysis agitans", a condition that would later be renamed Parkinson's disease by Jean-Martin Charcot.- from WikiAllan's piece was about a cemetery where the caretaker generously walked around with Allan and showed him the 100 or so graves.
Carly is reworking her "Dreams" story which tells of a fortuitous opportunity offered by her aunt and uncle that saved her from a life of drudgery working in the janitorial biz of her parents.
I learned that Carly's husband Charlie is what's called a "Jack Mormon." Born in Utah and raised as a Mormon, he stopped practicing the religion later in life.
And I.... got important feedback on my poem to my sister Donna for her 65th bday. I changed an awkward line to make it flow better.
