Pennypack Creek Clean-up, from 10 until noon

Getting ready for the 10 am departure. Various wagons drove us to our pick-up points.
Checked in with Lauren Steele who told Scott n me to ride in Brad's hay wagon. He steered us thru narrow entries at the Lord's New Church.
 The Director's house.
Andy is fishing a tire from the creek.
We're riding in a hay wagon driven by Brad.
There were fierce rains last nite, but all was calm and muddy this morning.
I found a full can of Miller High Life. I had one delicious sip, then spilled it out and put it in the thick trash bag. Scott found a couple of tires, one perfectly good, he said.
 Fallen beauty.
Wildflowers are the first to bloom, before the forest leaves can block the light.
This is part of Brad's family: wife Heather who teaches children with autism at Upper Moreland High School, daughter Sarah who's a senior, and Andy, a high school freshman. Didn't get the youngest, Jake, who'd often take off in a gallop in his eagerness to find trash.

Heather told me she uses honey from Pennypack to treat colds and allergies in her family. Here's a website.

For lunch, I had a fat Dietz n Watson hot dog w/mustard - hold the bun, Ruby - and from Whole Foods, a vegan sandwich of unknown derivation but delicious - and a thick turkey n cheese sandwich, hold the bread please, I have diabetes!
