Some things I have wanted to do - new short story

THE NEWLY WEDS is the new short story I wrote this morning around 10 am with a big cup of Folger's Decaf from Lynn.

I did add more hot water and it is sitting on my downstairs fan, waiting to spill all over my Fleet carpet. The store has moved to Warminster, PA a much nicer neighborhood.

Sarah said it's fine to write a very short story, as did Lynn.

Sarah is flying with her draft of JACK to Minnesota. He is still very strong and energetic. He and his wife just flew to Palm Beach CA.

Ethan is in Finland now. One 'n' - how quickly we forgot.

This morning wanted to take a thorough shower in my DURASTALL but had no towels. None at all. Just draped one around the shower stall. God am I short. And God makes little green apples.

Ate an entire CHEESE ENCHILADA which was awfully good.

Who was it that said, I won the whole enchilada. One of the presidents.

Now we've got BIDEN.

Earlier today I waddled down the street with bad leg. Sarah told me to bathe it in ice. Sometimes I do.

And use Arnica.

Enjoy yourself, Ethan!!!

Boss Lady on Netflix !!!

What if this was your backyard for thousands of years?

Archeological dig.

From the Smithsonian Institute.

Digging makes me very hungry.

Three Butterball Burgers.

Giant was out of APPLEGATE.

The Bergers of Calais and it is 93 degrees here in Philadelphia, says Debra Lew Harder.

en.wikipedia.org › wiki › The_Burghers_of_Calais

The Burghers of Calais (French: Les Bourgeois de Calais) is a sculpture by Auguste Rodin in twelve original castings and numerous copies. It commemorates an event during the Hundred Years' War, when Calais, a French port on the English Channel, surrendered to the English after an eleven-month siege. The city commissioned Rodin to create the sculpture in 1884 and the work was completed in 1889.

Well, thank you. Fairly interesting, right?

Wrote a letter - a real letter to my cousins in Cleveland. I did not like the last sentence - it was terrible - so I took it out of the mail box attached to the house and rewrote the whole thing.

Now Sister Lynn has advised me to watch BOSS LADY on Netflix.

Shall we?

I I have been married ONCE in my life !

Good early morning! I have been up reading and re-assessing many books I own - BILL BRYSON'S BOOK OF ALMOST EVERYTHING - and Yuval Noah Harari ...

Israeli historian and author of popular science bestsellers.

SORRY FOR THE INTERRUPTION IN FONTS.

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF EACH OF THEIR BOOKS?

WHY DID I BUY THEM?

Just ate a nice snack of finishing my SPRING MIX, in which I have mixed Cabot Cheese Chunks and one Compari tomato.

I was married on August 13

Read Mike's obit notice here.

I did attend his funeral in Ardmore TX. My son Daniel paid for my trip.

If I do not honor his death, who will?

First swim in TWO YEARS at Rich and Ada's

The orators.... Rich and Scott
Brought my Black Eyed Susans, which sprang up in my front yard.

Scott stopped over this morning. We went downstairs and worked on exercises for my hip and back.

Am drinking coffee in THE BUTTERLY CUP, which keeps track of the temp.

I had taken a nasty fall when I entered their house after my swim. I slid on wet tile. I hurt my left leg, left pinkie and palm of my hand.

HEAT WAVE TODAY !!!

Felt the terrible heat when I composted my three egg shells and more.

We ordered from InstaCarte this morning. They will be here at 1:40 pm.

Upstairs is my hot cup of Folger's Instant waiting for me to write a short story about BUD, the very nice man who lives next door to Dan and Family.

He died suddenly while he was biking with his wife.

Dyou know the story about my former mailman, Bob Heinline?

His wife Doreen divorced him the moment he retired.

Scott and I were walking down Davisville Road and there he was, w/o his uniform.

Every day when he would come home from work he would sit in his easy chair, move the levers to relax, and enjoy his Folger's.

Reckless Kelly was his favorite band on YouTube.

My preference currently is COLDPLAY.

Ain't life great?

HOW COULD I FORGET TO LIST THE DESSERT WE HAD?

Premium ice cream, packed solid, with a pitcher of hot chocolate poured over it.

Don't you hate when that happens?

Just got home from the Library, which, shockingly was closed.

I had just checked online.

I had found in the corner of my bedroom, MISSING BOOKS, all of them terrible.

Louise Penny, crime fiction novelist, reviewed best crime short stories of 2018.

Kept the windows open in my car so I would not pass out.

Who passes out?

You know. The Immigrants coming into the USA.

And on a Greek Island.

Scott and I will swim around 4 pm at the Fleishers.

Been ages since we've been there.

When do YOU stop watching an award-winning program on PBS.

I could not stop watching.

Skateboarding 'brothers' whose personal lives were filled with violence.

I couldn't even lift up my very heavy book, THE PERFECT COUPLE, to distract myself.

Here are Freda and Bernie Sanders before they moved into Paul's Run.

Wrote Bernie a card extolling our wonderful Freda Rose, the best person we have ever met.

Would the mailman/woman pick it up.

YES!

And the letters I plopped into my Rubber Maid container in the kitchen.

Ready?

MS, Juvenile Diabetes, Wounded Warriors with a nice calendar, AARP, Parkinson's.

Last night Margaret Bourke White was featured on the first LIFE Magazine. Later, they said, her work went slower when she was diagnosed with Parkinson's.

MBW. 1904 - 1971.

SO, where are my glasses?

In my backpack.

See ya!!!

SIMON, how we missed you, and glad you're back

Thanks to my sister Donna, SIMON Baniewicz is back from the dead!

In his honor I just ate a sandwich with cheese, tomatoes, and condiments.

Deelicious!

Can't find my back exercises but I did find ones that you do against the wall, Motherf***s.

Watched WOODSTOCK last night on PBS. Yasgur's Farm.

Max made a speech and said how LOVE WON THE DAY.

At one point they ran out of food, but airplanes came in with food.

And JIMI HENDRIX blasted the audience with THE STAR SPANGLED BANNER.

A lovely day to celebrate Mom's 99th birthday. Born in 1922. Died in 2020, is that right Lynn, the numbers woman?

When I left for the library I poured cold water over my head to keep cool.

It's dry now. But that is my trick!

Dorothy waited on me at the library and then I strolled around looking for more books!

Do you remember the IVORY SOAP twins? Meaning, who looks younger. Good Lord, so many things to remember and then to forget!

What a spread!

Can you make out my place mats? I had bought them years ago for Mom and brought them home.

Ma! We miss you. Thanks Lynn for helping us celebrate! Our readers can do the same.

And guess what? I'm gonna have some hot Folger's Coffee.

I mean, COLD Folger's.

Just turned on the AC to 77 degrees.

Returned RODHAM to the library. Very good! But the author had a hard time ending the book, which was quite satisfying.

Great music on WXPN-FM.

"Oh to live on Sugar Mountain, with the barkers and the colored balloons, but you're leaving there too soon."

Am gonna pick something out of my Kitty Kat bag and start reading it.
