Thanks, Ada and Rich, for this tea, which I still have. It was for the week of ADVENT.

Am drinking hot tea this morning in a beautiful STARBUCKS tall glass cup of Sister Ellen's.

Tis almost gone.

For break fast, I ate 2 organic eggs, mushrooms, and hopefully no ants.

Tough getting rid of them. Was gonna call them, the little bastards, but changed my mind.

Yesterday Dante delivered the mail. I made three trips to give him letters.

When he first arrived and handed me the mail, I dropped EVERYTHING on the floor. He should have helped me pick them up, but did not.

Can this be put in a poem?

As usual, ran downstairs to take my morning pills.

What a life!

PILLS

In my Nurse Harriet robe,

Harvoni first in an I LOVE MOM cup

followed by four pills I made sure were correct

check em check em chekhov

What would the author of Lady with a Lapdog

think of Putin's war

RasPutin

A horrible death like his modern day counterparts

The Earl Grey tea is marvelous in my glass Starbucks cup.

Back in the day a cube of sugar was held between the teeth

as the hot liquid went down

the belly was at peace

but not the world.

Cornbread filled with berries - new backless slippers - Horrible heat - shall we quote Dante's Inferno - Sister Amy's Birthday

Luscious cornbread mix. It's filled with berries. And since there is only me, I ate the whole thing in three days. If you refrigerate it, it gets tough. Same with when I used to bake bread.

Since I didn't have milk I used bone broth. My measurements were wrong. I keep em in my tiny knickknack paddywack drawer, along with rubber bands and twisties.

Took about an hour to scrub the glass pan clean. Then I dry it in my oven. By pilot light.

Slippers from ZAPPOs. Tried everywhere else and then - bingo - the ZAPPOs image showed up.
Exquisite blue hydrangeas. At my kitchen sink. Darn, they are wilting already. Kalie is barking across the street. It sounds like she's saying RUTH RUTH RUTH. Her mistress Nancy has colitis but I don't know where she is. Colitis. Good lord, that woman gets everything that comes down the pike.

Was up very late. Listened to the radio in my room while I wept. I mean, while I read a book that is due today. A Distant Sun, A Novel of Africa. Erotic parts. About Henry who goes to Africa to set up missionaries. His wife is Emma.

Early this morning I set out walking around the block. The temp felt like, oh, 70. No one was about. I noticed my gait was straighter than usual.

And as I turned the corner, the same woman was backing out of her drive in a red car and nearly ran me over.

...

Wrote a very good poem for Amy who is 65, the youngest one. Donna mentioned she can get Medicare now.

Bought her gifts from KREMP. Spoke to Augustina. Quelle nom !  675 6500, is that correct?

Gonna make a salad lunch and then read the Africa book.

The author.

Just visited with my darling grandchildren and their parents - We all wore masks

These pix are from the other day.

Bold Mr Chipmunk came right up to the porch steps. Shall we learn more about them?

Interesting. Take the time to read about them.

FROM  WIKI    Chipmunks have an omnivorous diet primarily consisting of seeds, nuts and other fruits, and buds.[11][12] They also commonly eat grass, shoots, and many other forms of plant matter, as well as fungi, insects and other arthropods, small frogs, worms, and bird eggs. They will also occasionally eat newly hatched baby birds.[11][12][13][14][15][16] Around humans, chipmunks can eat cultivated grains and vegetables, and other plants from farms and gardens, so they are sometimes considered pests.[11][17] Chipmunks mostly forage on the ground, but they climb trees to obtain nuts such as hazelnuts and acorns.[11][18] At the beginning of autumn, many species of chipmunk begin to stockpile nonperishable foods for winter. They mostly cache their foods in a larder in their burrows and remain in their nests until spring, unlike some other species which make many small caches of food.[11] Cheek pouches allow chipmunks to carry food items to their burrows for either storage or consumption.[12]

Hard to see but my red poppies did come back this year. One is on the left, thother on the right.

'
Thother day I walked down the street and handed out clumps of lilacs to all the neighbors.

Share the bounty!

Made a mask with the handkerchief of my dad. Can't find the apostrophe on here, tho I just did.

Nicole was drinking her cold Dunkin coffee, yum, she said she could live without it.

I may have told you while working on my short story THE BLUE ANGELS I drank vanilla almond milk.

I only noticed we ZOOMED at the very end. I showed them the dress I am wearing w/ earrings - yes - still wearing dress - and Beatriz showed us her lovely caftan.

Rem, our postal clerk, sent important feedback on my story, which I've lost, so told him to resend.

If I had my druthers I'd order a tuna hoagie from Silvio's deli.

Is your mouth watering like mine? It's only a picture.

When the kids came over, Grace Catherine was doing an acrobatic routine on the large back lawn.

Max was playing with his cars. There was a long lumber truck so he put pieces of sticks in the back.

He kept his cars in a Harry and David metal container.

I gave mine to Scott. He keeps his sewing materials in there, I think.

My friends Freda and Bernie, both 94, were profiled in a Paul's Run newsletter.

Such wonderful people!!!

Mon dieu!  The porches have ceiling fans.

I had to look up mon dieu for the spelling.

Moi!  The spelling champ in the fifth grade at Mercy Elementary in Shaker Heights, Ohio.

Here's a Mercer in Okinawa.

Dat's it for now.

Gonna munch on Snyder's Dippers and rock myself to sleep.

Where's my pacifier?
