WALK AROUND BLOCk

Just got home from a walk around the block.

Wore black pants that are dotted with what I think are tomato seeds.

Wore my shoes from Faherty's in Southampton.

As I walked I was thinking about two things...

BERKSHIRE HATHAWAY which sold a house on Sleighride Road and

the invasive vine I have which chokes to death garden flowers.

It is not poison ivy but I can't remember the name.

Ellen guessed WISTERIA which is not correct.

Wisteria was a TREE that grew at my friend CARROLL BEAM'S HOUSE in Hatboro, PA.

I wrote a magnificent tribute to him that may be on my blog.

Here is one of them.

JAKE from S & H Heating was out here this morning.

Ellen needs a new heating system so she can live downstairs in the Family Room.

S & H will call with a new price. Meantime we are waiting for her guy, Sean, to have a new price.

John Search of WRTI FM is saying goodbye and wishing us a GREAT DAY !

Just got off bike after 15 minutes riding and watching CURIOUS GEORGE.

Cecilia, my sugar was fine this morning - 107.

Thanks Ellen for the cyclomon you bought me at WEIS.

The sun perked it up.

After FILM NOIR, I ate a delicious breakfast

Fab egg omelet with GREEN PEPPERS, MUSHROOMS, TWO EGGS that came with very soft shells, and medium salsa sauce.

From the Internet.

Said hello to next door neighbor Bill Adams who has a dog, Cayenne, who never stops barking.

Why not write a short story about him?

No ideas, right now, but let's give it a try.

My upstairs computer is not working.

Lemme get some hot coffee or tea and then I will start to write.

While riding my stationery bike this morning I was reading 100 ONE NIGHT READS.

One name that stood out was Eric Ambler, who wrote complicated plots w many twists and turns.

Would love to check out a book or two of his at the library but am still reading the

autobiography of BILLIE JEAN KING plus

a three part book I found in the Little Library way down Cowbell at Division.

A LITTLE PRINCESS is awfully good. She had been an heiress to a huge fortune - diamond mines - but her father died and she was princess no more.

Frances Hodgson Burnett.

And now, I shall put on the tea kettle.

No no I don't need any help.

What a lovely feeling.

Found some coffee Ellen had made and it is now in my cup.

Also, she buys the most delicious container of unsalted nuts of many varieties from Costco.

Oh, someone reviewed my true story about DORIS BRANDES.

Dead but not forgotten.

Welcome to your new home, Ellen !

Sister Ellen moved in on January 21, 2022.

I must say she makes the best coffee - New England Coffee - I like to sip on it and make noises as I do so.

Earlier, when I had made my cheese omelet I went outside to eat it.

HELLO I called.

No one answered.

Then I went back in.

Gotta fill my pill box. Will plop myself down and begin, in total concentration.

Sip sip sip.

Ellen can't open her car door. Frozen shut.

How about a poem?

NO GARAGE

Few folks around here have garages

Or if they do, they use them for rags

tire pressure gauges, instruments from

failed businesses. My garage became

my laundry room. The sink is dotted

with colors - there's Ed Quinn's Glidden,

he swears by.

Hear that car door close?

That's life on Cowbell,

my home for now and

who knows when?

Whatever happened to Richard Deane Anderson - MacGuyver - he got the bad guy but not thru corporal punishment

Richard Deane Anderson, who played MacGuyver. What a great TV show that was. I used to watch it with my client "Julie" who would wave her remote control like a magic wand.

Julie or Bonnie Abajian - she couldn't decide what name to call herself - is still around. An amazing character. Last I heard her therapist had taken her to live with her, temporarily.

She and I used to drive all over. She loved PhilaBagel in Jenkintown, PA. Altho she couldn't drive, when she sensed I was taking a shortcut she would yell and scream.

Mini Bio (1)

The future MacGyver (1985) and Stargate SG-1 (1997) star was born on January 23, 1950, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. His father, Stuart Anderson, was a teacher at a local high school and his mother, Jocelyn, was an artist who was talented in both sculpting and painting. He and his three younger brothers (Jeffrey, Thomas, and James) grew up in Roseville, a suburb of Minneapolis. He developed a love for sports, music (especially jazz) and acting.

As a teenager, Anderson dreamed of becoming a professional hockey player as a teenager. But, at age sixteen, he broke both of his arms in separate incidents, the second of which was so bad that he had to be hospitalized for three months, putting paid to the dream of becoming a hockey player. He went hitchhiking on the open road via a 5,641-mile bicycle trip from Minnesota to Alaska. Although accompanied by several friends at the beginning of this trip, he traveled the last thirty-three days alone. This experience gave him a more centered sense of direction in his life.

After studying drama at St. Cloud State University and at Ohio University (without completing his degree), he briefly moved to New York before settling in Los Angeles, where he worked as a juggler and a street mime and in a Renaissance-style cabaret. He worked briefly in Marineland, where his jobs included holding fish in his mouth for killer whales to leap up and snatch. Subsequently, he appeared in plays and formed a rock band called "Rick Dean and the Dante" with his friend Carl Dante in which he sang and played the guitar.

His big break came in 1976, when he was cast in the popular daytime drama General Hospital (1963) as Dr. Jeff Webber. He continued to play the role for five years until he felt it was time to move on to prime-time drama. He made numerous guest appearances in series such as The Facts of Life (1979) and The Love Boat (1977) and was cast as the star in two CBS series, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (1982) and Emerald Point N.A.S. (1983), but both lasted just one season.

RUTH DEANE DEMING HERE.

Hope you enjoyed this little summary.

I am freezing cold now and must return to my warm cozy bed.

BTW, I read a terrific interview earlier today with Isabel Allende. The pandemic has given her plenty of time to write.
