RETURN TO SENDER

Dennis Farmer - where ARE You? The note I sent you said RETURN TO SENDER. I remember we would often meet at Helen's MORNINGS AT THE MALL.

First we met downstairs near the Starbucks Coffee section and then we moved upstairs to our own room.

We also held our special programs there.

BTW, my downstairs laptop is STUCK. It will not move. I know. Turn on and off, on and off.

Okay, will do it here, upstairs, in just a sec.

The delightful sound of rain on the roof.

For breakfast, THREE EGGS, and salmon from Ben n Irv's that we had on Kidneyversary.

Would like to pour a mug of V-8 but I could not stand the ants. Far less than before, but, still.

I do not know what happened to the baby eagles in Hanover, PA.

Two trips to Dante the Mailman - Free Waves

I attended a virtual concert last night at Wayne Presby Church and mailed them a donation.

Then I thanked my friend Marcy for attending our Kidneyversary Party and mailed her a letter.

I also walked around the very chilly block.

Who me?

Wave?

You can have a free wave to the UPS man or the AMAZON man.

I like to learn things from Mailman Dante.

"It looks like your mail truck is in bad shape. When will they give you a new one?" I asked.

HIS truck had paint peeling off.

Apparently when they are ready.

I so so glad he hadn't moved his truck.

"Last one of the day," I said to him, handing over Marcy's letter.

Ellen is not home now. I had asked her questions like who was alive and who was dead.

She said she always felt bad when she called B.

My advice: Do not call him.

AND when I woke up there was Carl Yeager's print on my wall. That made me very sad, as he died of a very unusual disease.

Not to mention Ray Naylor. Was there an obit for the performance artist Ray Naylor? Composer of the Bipolar Polar Bear. What a sweet n gentle voice he had.

Quite honestly, I am not expecting to pass away any time soon. Have no idea what this pain on my side is, but me not worry.

Cover of Mad Magazine. My dad had the What Me Worry T-shirt.

He was very hip.

Good Lord. What is my next brilliant move?

Our Ant Problem showed up in my dream

After a huge breakfast of 3 eggs, Cabernet Sauvignot Cheese, I went back to bed and slept a couple of hours.

When I was waking up, I saw that the kitchen windowsill was covered with large ants.

Immediately I remembered the ant killer in the basement and behind my living room couch. Where ELSE would you keep them?

If you are ready, and I am not sure I am ready.

Screaming is allowed.

So how are YOU gonna spend Mommy and Daddy's anniversary on April 4.

One thing I will do is EXERCISES on the living room floor.

Wanna clean something real well? Use a microfiber cloth

First, what is microfiber? It is a textile made from super-fine synthetic yarns split into millions of microscopic fibers that are up to 100 times finer than a human hair. This gives it an enormous amount of surface area and makes it highly absorbent — a microfiber cloth can hold seven times its weight in water.Aug 28, 2021

COULD I USE THIS IN MY MEMOIR?

How to Write a Memoir

I just finished watching ASPEN IDEAS. The narrator welcomed 4 memoir writers who read selections from their books. A few had written several memoirs. Let me introduce them to you.

ERIKA MALLIN Exec Editor of Aspen Institute for the Arts

KIESE LAYMON, a man, who said My mother taught me words to survive.

DANI SHAPIRO, an Orthodox Jew.

RICHARD BLANCO, poet.

My own memoir has been on hold for a year, I would say. Yet, at our Saturday meetings I often compose pieces that would fit perfectly.

My newest title is MOM: A HARD ACT TO FOLLOW.

....

Why, I wondered, was Scott calling me this morning.

Of course!

Film Noir was back, after the Academy Awards had been announced.

PITFALL was the name of the film.

Dick Powell starred as an insurance investigator and Lizbeth Scott, constantly smiling, also appeared in it.

The featured film of the day starred DORIS DAY who was born 100 yrs ago today in Cincinnati OH.

I've always loved her and thought she was a great actress.

Her real name?

  1. Doris Day (born Doris Mary Anne Kappelhoff; April 3, 1922 – May 13, 2019) was an American actress, singer, and animal welfare activist. She began her career as a big band singer in 1939, achieving commercial success in 1945 with two No. 1 recordings, "Sentimental Journey" and "My Dreams Are Getting Better All the Time" with Les Brown & His Band of Renown.

Have a slice with Biden

President Biden shares a slice of pizza with US soldiers stationed in Poland. He was there to boost morale and attend a conference on Ukraine.

Thousands more people, including children, have been slaughtered.

Bad Memory? Boston MD Cautions Against Eating These Common Foods

Why do some people stay sharp as a whip as they get older, while others have trouble recalling names, dates, and even conversations?

New research from Harvard University suggests age may not be the culprit.

And one Boston medical doctor now says memory problems are often caused by the foods you're eating — or NOT eating.

Dr. George Karanastasis, MD says: "Your brain is like a luxury car. It requires premium fuel to create new brain cells, recall memories, and focus on tasks. And where does it get that fuel? From the foods you eat."

However, Dr. K says most people eat far too many foods that harm our brains — like foods containing sugar and trans fats — and not enough good foods that help our brains.

He says: "The science is clear: foods high in refined sugar and trans fats can harm your memory. And considering that sugar is found in nearly 75% of foods on supermarket shelves, it's no wonder why so many people suffer from memory issues."

Fortunately, Dr. K developed a simple protocol that can help fight memory loss without making any major dietary changes. It just requires adding these 3 foods back into your diet.

"These 3 foods are like jet fuel for your brain. They protect your brain while delivering your brain the nutrients it needs to stay firing-on-all-cylinders," he remarked.

Dr. K just released a video revealing these foods. And since the video was released, it's gone viral, racking up more than 1 million views. And people around the country are singing the praises of this life-saving protocol.

"People keep telling me: 'Dr. K, I feel so much sharper and smarter. Even my family noticed.' It’s wonderful to hear how many lives this protocol has changed," Dr. K says.

Now, what about you? Are you concerned about your memory? How would you like to take back control of your life?

If so, watch the video at the link below and try this protocol for yourself. You'll discover which foods can help make sure your brain lasts as long as your body.

...

Scott and I stayed up for HOURS talking. We watched on AMAZON PRIME the new series REACHER, played by - no, not Tom Cruise - but a fellow named Alan Rightson.

We had never heard of him, so a'googling we went.

Born in 1982 - and I am relying on my memory here - he had the right physique for REACHER - and he was also a model, a film director, and a singer.

...

No one was home when I arrived at 8:45 am.

A note?

None.

Possibly they went to Home Depot by buy an ANT TRAP.

The kitchen sink is filled with ants.

Over thousands of years they evolved their own communication system.

Am on upstairs computer now and will go downstairs, choose healthy items of leftovers - hoping for some chopped liver with ants - and maybe I can scramble a mushroom omelet.
