Letter to Willow Grove Giant

LETTER TO WILLOW GROVE GIANT

I have been shopping at the Willow Grove Giant in Willow Grove, PA, since the day it opened.

What a wonderful store!

I've even written several articles about it, one about the Obesity Summit you held.

Your nutritionist Mary Ann Moylan is absolutely superb; as are your pharmacists - Hannah Bae and Raj - and the fish mongers, Andy and Debbie. And, of course, Robin Franklin, your community room coordinator. How lucky you are to have found Robin!

I'd like to make a suggestion.

A good employer always praises and rewards the people who work for them.

My distant relative, W Edwards Deming - view https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/W._Edwards_Deming - wrote:

"If someone can make a contribution to the company he feels important."

"If you destroy the people of a company, you do not have much left."

I often eat in your biergarden, buying food at the Salad Bar or one of your many kiosks.

The fellows who work there could not be more helpful.

One fellow, named Tyler, left to go to school. Kutztown State to study Graphic Design.

I always looked forward to seeing Tyler and Gary and all the other young men who work in the biergarden. Ever so helpful!

How about having an EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH and celebrate the fine qualities of your workers!

Ms. Kathe, one of the workers at the Coffee Bar is loved by everyone. I kid you not.

This morning I just bought your Pumpkin Spice Coffee.

Tyler should have been given a Going-Away Party.

Thank you for listening!

Ruth Z Deming of Willow Grove, PA
