Visit Mom after Writers' Group

Mom looked good. She looked nice b/c Ellen drove her this morning to Warminster Hospital to get tests taken.

What? The SAT? The LSATs to get into law school?

Mom's good friend, Jane Tamaccio, passed away in January.

In her memory, her husband Dave, almost 92, hosted a memorial concert at the Jenkintown Music Settlement.

Photos of Jane at various ages.

An incredibly talented woman, she was my brother David's piano teacher and art teacher. Read her obit from Jan 2014 where it talks about her pioneering work with autistic and mentally challenged people.

Jane's Steinway piano was brought to the Music Settlement.

Mom told me that Dave Tamaccio told her that one of the piano keys sailed off the piano.

"That was Jane putting in her two cents," said Mom.

Mom and I listened to half the recording.

Artists who knew Jane performed works by Mozart, Bach, Schumann, Schubert and someone we'd never heard of.

Meanwhile, Ellen was baking a cheesecake with raspberry topping. She and I tasted it hot from the oven.

Delicious! A keeper.
